Sands is currently undertaking a review of the pathways guidance in England to ensure these documents are relevant, up to date and inclusive. The NBCP pathways were last published in summer of 2022 and are in need of revising and updating.
We have consulted with key stakeholders and the NBCP Core Group over this winter to review the five pathways and agree on the changes we need to make. We’ve had some extremely helpful and comprehensive feedback, and in light of this will be pushing back our publication date to ensure we are able to take the feedback properly on board.
Thank you to all of you who have taken part in the review. We expect to publish the updated bereavement care pathways in May/June 2025.
